NatureMapr: Council have partnered with one of Australia's largest citizen-science platforms, NatureMapr, to collect species sightings data from across our LGA. The app allows anyone to share species sightings of plants and animals in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region, as well as several other locations across Australia. This information added by everyday residents, visitors and experts allows us and other organisations to learn more about the types of species, their populations and spread in our region. Download the app for iOS or Android and start mapping today. Head here for more information.

Nerriga Road update: Work on Nerriga Road continues despite some delays to Stage 3, the Durran Durra section, while we await clearance to continue after an Aboriginal artefact was found on a stretch of the road earlier this year. Until clearance is received our crews continue to progress the project to complete the last stretch of this section. Stage 4 of the upgrade is the intersection with the Kings Highway which will commence after Transport for NSW approve the final design. For updates on the works head here.
