The Health District has confirmed a positive COVID-19 case linked to Southern Meats abattoir in Goulburn.

A spokeswoman for the Southern NSW Local Health District said authorities were working with the Mazamet Road lamb export facility to identify close and casual contacts.

The case will be included in Wednesday's numbers.
It is the second case linked to the abattoir in three months. In July, a delivery driver tested positive however Southern Meats abattoir workers with whom the man was unloading subsequently tested negative. General manager Craig Newton said the facility had strict COVID-19 protocols in place.
