A new COVID-19 case has been identified in Goulburn while Yass recorded three new cases.

The Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) also identified three Batemans Bay cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

The cases in Goulburn and Yass are close contacts of existing cases.

If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.

NSW has recorded its lowest daily increase in COVID-19 cases since August 28, with 1083 new locally acquired infections reported in the 24 hours to 8pm Saturday.

Sadly, another 13 people with COVID have died, aged from their 40s to their 80s.

There are 1,238 people with COVID admitted to hospital, with 234 people in intensive care, 123 of whom require ventilation.

In NSW, 81.9 per cent of people aged 16 and over have now had at least their first dose of the vaccine while 51.9 per cent have had both shots.

Seventeen per cent of 12 to 15-year-olds in NSW have already had their first shot.

  • Wash your hands regularly and take hand sanitiser with you when you go out.
  • Keep your distance and leave 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
  • Wear a mask at all times when outside your home, except when exercising.
