Araluen artist Glenda Fell Jones is the winner of the 2016 $5000 Braidwood Regional Art Prize with her stunning portrait ‘WGB & the Burmese Kittycat’. Glenda will be giving an artist talk discussing her winning entry & her artistic practice at the close of the exhibition next Sunday 17th from 2pm, please join her. Voting for peoples choice Award ends 17 July.

The winner of the $1000 Heritage Photography prize was Sue Doran for her evocative photograph ‘Chinese Walls’ which features the Mongarlowe River in flood. The $400 People’s Choice Award is underway with all visitors to the exhibition invited to vote on their favourite work, the result of this community participation will be published after the close of the show.
The Judge, Penny Grist from the National Portrait Gallery, also awarded two High Commendations in both categories Mark Sullivan & Gail Nichols in the Open Art section, Frank Linder & Georgina Campbell in the Photography section.
