Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council will hold four community meetings in October and November:
- Captains Flat – Wednesday, October 16 at Captains Flat Community Hall from 6pm
- Bungendore – Wednesday, October 26 at Bungendore Council Chambers from 6.30pm
- Queanbeyan – Wednesday, November 9 at Queanbeyan Council Chambers from 6.30pm
- Braidwood – Wednesday, November 16 at Council Meeting Room from 6pm.

The council will update the community on major projects around the region, upcoming community events and how the new organisation is working; while residents can ask questions, raise concerns and put forward ideas.
Implementation Advisory Group
The Administrator has resolved to establish an Implementation Advisory Group. The NSW Government’s Department of Premier and Cabinet requires newly-amalgamated councils to establish an IAG to provide advice on the new council’s establishment and review delivery of the merger implementation plan.
Community Litter Grants
The council is encouraging community groups interested in cleaning up a local area to apply for a litter grant from Keep NSW Beautiful. Understanding why litter occurs in a particular area is necessary to solve the universal problem of litter, so community groups are vital to address the issue.
