Drones will be used to carry out the program to protectsignificant biodiversity, connecting vegetation across the landscape and providing valuable wildlife habitats.
The QPRC will receive an $80,000 grant for these series of works.
Local Government NSW president councillor Keith Rhoades said effective roadside reserve management is more than meets the eye.
“Roadside reserves conserve habitat, and prevent erosion, as well as having an aesthetic and ecological value,” he said.
The QPRC received the fourth largest sum of money in the state.
The $1,205,206 in funding is provided by the NSW Environmental Trust.
