The 2019 Goulburn Show will be on the weekend of March 2 and 3.
“This year we have lots of new and old attractions” says Jacki Waugh, president of the Goulburn AP&H Society who organise the event.
A first for country NSW will be the appearance of DockDogs. Watch the dogs jump as high and far as they can into a giant swimming pool. There will be teams competing against each other and individual runs as well, plus you the general public can also bring your own dogs down to have a go. If this interests you just send your entry request email to dockdogsau@gmail.com.
Meanwhile the other popular dog events will be on again, with over 400 competing in the All Breeds Championship, plus you can see the agility and flyball demonstrations on the Saturday and the dog high jump competition on the Sunday. For $5 on the day you can also enter your dog in the high jump. Call Matt on 0429 129 942 for the details.
Another new feature for 2019 will be several performances by contortionist Bendy Em. “She will be performing three to four shows a day, in between our other local talent including Invert Gymnastic, Goulburn Martial Arts Academy, Goulburn Multicultural Zumba and others.”
Eljay Freestyle Entertainment weren’t here in 2018 but they will be back this year. “Every kid young and old will love them,” says Jacki, so “make sure you get down and see the show and have your photo taken with the team.”

There are also important causes you can get behind. The Goulburn Teapot Club raise funds to support children within the Autism Spectrum in the Goulburn region. “This year we have created a new category in the flower schedule,” with two classes you can enter. “Goulburn Show will donate $2 for each entry to the Goulburn Teapot Club to help them with their fundraising.”
Elsewhere, “We welcome all individuals, community groups, pre-schools, schools, nursing homes and clubs to create and construct a scarecrow,” and enter it in the competition.
One more exciting new section we should mention is the Goulburn Show Reel Short Film Festival, thanks to a grant from the Southern Tablelands Arts and the State CASP Panel. This will actually just be a taster of a more ambitious local film festival in the future.
The show will also include farm and vintage machinery displays, show jumping, side show alley, food and produce stalls, Get Wild Animal Experiences with a reptile and animal show, and much more.
