A woman's body was found in a vehicle in floodwaters off Maddens Bridge Rd at Glenfyne, about 200km from Melbourne, on Friday morning.
She is the second weather-related fatality in Victoria this week, with a man also found dead in his submerged car at the Gippsland town of Woodside on Thursday afternoon.
About midday on Friday, a flood evacuation warning was re-issued for Traralgon as rapid river rises in the Traralgon Creek were expected overnight.
Up to 50 mm of rainfall is expected in the area from late Friday and across Saturday, with isolated higher totals possible, leading to warnings the river could reach its major flooding level on Saturday morning.
Victoria recorded zero locally acquired coronavirus cases on Melbourne's first day out of lockdown.
There are still a number of restrictions in place across the state.
Queensland also recorded no new community cases, despite a Melbourne couple testing positive to COVID-19 after travelling to the Sunshine State.
During a press conference on Friday, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk shared her frustration with the couple, who stopped at a number of regional towns as they drove to Queensland from locked-down Melbourne.
"Everyone needs to do the right thing. There was a lockdown on ... they shouldn't have left Victoria. It just puts people at risk," Ms Palaszczuk said.
But there's still plenty to smile about in the north, with Brisbane clearing the "final hurdle" in its bid to host the 2032 Olympic Games.
The International Olympic Committee executive board has backed the capital as the 2032 host and it will be put to a vote next month.
"We have actually just done the final hurdle, and the finishing line is just in front of us, and it's almost there, we just got to wait a little bit longer," Ms Palaszczuk said.
