Canberra was recently declared the best city in the world at the New York Time's popular word-guessing game.
Meanwhile, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide were in sixth, seventh and eighth places, respectively, meaning Australian cities accounted for four of the top 10 cities globally.
In Wordle, players get six chances to correctly guess a five-letter word. Along the way, tiles turn green to indicate a correct letter in the correct spot, yellow to indicate a correct letter in an incorrect spot and grey to indicate a letter is not included in the word at all.
While many players share their successful results on social media, it can be disheartening for others to watch on as they chase their first win.
So, we've compiled a list of tips and tricks to take you from a five-letter loser to a Wordle winner.
Use a strong opening word with multiple vowels
Given players get six chances to guess a word, it's incredibly important to use a strong opening word that will quickly narrow down letters.
Many players like to use an opening word with multiple vowels as most words have at least one vowel in them.
Alexia Raye, who streams herself playing Wordle on Twitch, said she always opens with the word 'adieu' since it contains four vowels.
In one video, she was able to guess the word correctly in just two attempts thanks to this method.
Other strong opening words with multiple vowels include 'audio', 'irate', 'resin', 'canoe' and 'loath'.
Process of elimination
Wordle is ultimately a process of elimination in order to correctly guess the word of the day.
It's crucial to eliminate grey tile letters as you go, as repeating them is completely redundant.
TikToker Jake Sizemore shared a rather extreme method avoiding repeat letters, which he demonstrated in a video.
"So there are 26 letters in the alphabet and five turns in Wordle [before the final sixth turn]. If we don't repeat any we can use 25 out of 26 letters and pretty much guess it every time, as long as one of them is a green," Mr Sizemore said in the video.
The five first words Mr Sizemore used were 'glent', 'brick', 'jumpy', 'vozhd' and 'waqfs'.
From these five words, the letters 'i', 'y' and 'f' were in green while 'n' and 'u' were in yellow. By arranging them together, he was able to deduce the correct word was 'unify'.
Mr Sizemore's strategy video has gone viral with 11.1 million views on TikTok but others pointed out that the method takes a lot of the fun guesswork out of the game.
The TikToker conceded that it isn't "the funnest strategy to use" but said he has fun coming up with different strategies and sharing them.

While it is fun to use different strategies, it should be remembered that Wordle is a game and is meant to be fun.
Mr Sizemore summed it up perfectly: "It's a game so just play it how you have fun."
Some people like to use the same vowel-heavy opening word everyday, while others will use a new opening word each day to add an element of randomness.
By using or not using different strategies, you can effectively make the game as easy or hard as you want depending on what you enjoy.
Players who really want a challenge can also activate 'hard mode' which means revealed hints must be used in subsequent guesses.
There's no shame in getting the word wrong. And if you do, there's always a new word tomorrow!
