The Braidwood Tennis Club recently asked the Braidwood Mens’ Shed to repair the 4 umpire chairs at the Club. The result is four chairs with wooden steps replaced, freshly painted and looking like brand new to match 2 of our courts recently resurfaced with artificial grass.
After a publicity assault on Bungendore to attract new members look out Braidwood as brochures and posters will be distributed this week. These attempts to attract new and former members are the result of a committed effort by a small group of current members to demonstrate what the Braidwood golf course and club has to offer.
The start of the warmer weather saw the Braidwood Fishing Club head to South Durras for its first competition since winter. The club stayed at the Lake Sea Caravan park where everyone was well looked after by Scott and his staff who organised for the local Shimano dealer to provide a presentation on new fishing techniques. The club also welcomed Ian from the DPI (Fisheries) who gave a presentation on catch and release, which created a bit of interest amongst the club.
Rescuers say pilot incredibly lucky to escape serious injury or death.
