Local scouts believe they should use the phrase ‘take the out in Scouts’, so on Thursday evening 9th June the Scouts went out of the Scout hall and took a tour of our local Fire Station under the capable direction of Deputy Captain Steve Hockey.
Local leaders recently attended Tai Chi for Arthritis training, which is a falls prevention initiative co-ordinated by Southern NSW Local Health District and delivered across local communities by volunteers. The workshop was held at Batemans Bay, with Dr Paul Lam facilitating the tai chi training. Dr Lam, an Australian family physician, is one of the most experienced and respected tai chi teachers in the world.
Mark Roberts Palerang United took on ANU Orange in an entertaining game. Injuries are starting to stretch the depth of the player roster with the men’s team but those that are fit and able are certainly playing well. ANU had a better passing game throughout the game but the patience shown in defence from Palerang United made it hard work for ANU to have too much quality ball.
