Lion Andrew Chinnery is managing this program and since he started in earnest earlier this year he has successfully repaired and distributed over 40 bikes, mostly to needy folk in our community. The photo below shows Andrew with one of the three bicycles he took the markets last Saturday –all were quickly claimed by kids and families.
Many of the pre-loved bikes are given to Andrew by members of the community while Canberra based Green Shed also generously donates many bikes for Andrew to work on. If you have bikes in the back of the shed gathering dust that could be restored Andrew would be very delighted to receive them - his address is 75 Lascelles Street.
