PALERANG UNITED RESULTS
Another strong representation from the Palerang teams over the weekend with a clean sweep of all games. The boys team in particular made a huge contribution on Saturday to the 'Goals for Life' Promotion, scoring a whopping 11 goals - that’s $110 from the boys effort. The total raised for the Braidwood Life Centre is now $1,490 which is $10 for each goal scored by a Palerang team due to the generous support of the Braidwood Community Bank. The tally stands at Boys u14's (40 goals), Girl u15's (37 goals), Ladies (57 goals) and Mens (15 goals).
u14's Boys (From coach Nick Munnings)
The Under 14 Boys had a distinct advantage of having 11 players against a depleted Belnorth team with only 7 players. Our boys played well. One goal came from an almighty throw in from Tim, which was head butted in perfectly by Angus.
U15's Girls (From coach Brad Carey)
The under 15 girls played at Latham on Saturday against Belwest Bazingas. We needed a win to keep our chances alive for the competition finals.
The first half was frustrating and the girls couldn't seem to finish off and score. The game was plodding along at a fairly slow pace. By the second half the girls started to fire up. Jay Davies scored mid-way through giving us the lead 1-0. Now on the attack we challenged the opposition's defensive line and again we scored, Nina kicking the goal. We held on to win 2-0
The girls remain in second position on the ladder. They have two home games left to play in Braidwood. This week we play the competition leaders, Woden Valley Rebels at home in Braidwood at 1:45pm. Please come down and support the girls by cheering them on.
Ladies.
Another win!!! Our Ladies team wrapped up the minor Premiership with a convincing game against Belsouth to come away with a 5-2 win. This keeps them in first place on the ladder. Well done!
