The Kardashian-Jenner clan will visit the socialist Caribbean island to film episodes of their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians this week, People reports.

The announcement comes just two weeks after the family returned from a group holiday to Iceland, which will also appear on the show.

Cuba is certainly having a bit of a moment: On Tuesday, Havana's Paseo de Prado played host to the Resort 2017 Chanel fashion show.

Karl Lagerfield's ode to Cuba's colourful style drew a big name crowd, with Tilda Swinton and Gisele Bundchen both in attendance.

The Kardashian-Jenner family are presumably meeting Kendall Jenner down there; the 20-year-old model pulled up well following Monday night's Met Gala to fly from New York to Havana to walk in the Chanel show the following night. (Alongside 19-year-old Tony Castro, grandson of Fidel).

Following the normalisation of over 60 years of frosty diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba in December 2014, all American citizens are now able to travel to the island, provided they can prove their travel purpose fits one of the government's 12 approved categories.

This means the Kardashians family circus must have managed to classify their overseas quest to draw out KUWTK season 12 for as long as its predecessors as either:

1. Family visits
2. Official business of the US government, foreign governments, and certain intergovernmental organisations
3. Journalistic activity
4. Professional research and professional meetings
5. Educational activities
6. Religious activities
7. Public performances, clinics, workshops, athletic and other competitions, and exhibitions
8. Support for the Cuban people
9. Humanitarian projects
10. Activities of private foundations or research or educational institutes
11. Exportation, importation, or transmission of information or information materials, or
12. Certain authorised export transactions.
