Arthur 'Artie' Webb.

Artie Webb (BT, 5/10), together with four or five friends, formed what was to become the first Braidwood Ambulance Service. In 1941 this group provided a volunteer service while  overseeing the building of Braidwood’s first ambulance station in Park Lane. The ambulance, a 1929 Buick, was garaged at the rear of the Royal Hotel. This eventually lead to the establishment of an equally efficient, dedicated, professional service as we see it today. Congratulations, and thanks, Artie.
