I would like to thank Braidwood Central School for their wonderful version of Cinderella, a clever and witty rendition; and to say thank you to all involved – continue: you’re doing great.
To all those who feel a bit lonely and have nothing to do, I urge you to attend some of the activities.
Enjoy the children and their fun way of looking at life. It’s great for the soul.
Intermission tea is usually OK, too.

The squire: a poem
See that brumby over there
With a mark upon its back.
Been chasing him for years
Thought I’d make a decent hack
Once I thought I’d trapped him
Thought I’d had him cold
But the brumby’s instincts saved him
I see him running through the hills
With his mares behind
Not a worry in the world
He has no axe to grind
For he knows he can outfox me
He’s done it plenty a time
Should ever I catch him
Would I have the right?
But if he should be taken
I wish it could be me
For I have spent forty quid
On yards and traps and wire
Trying to catch this outlaw
The one they call the squire
Go Kay, Braidwood
