The Premier’s recent announcement means there is now certainty regarding the future of our merged Council. Council is focused on delivering services to the community and providing vital infrastructure. The $10 million Stronger Communities Fund supplied to new councils is being invested in local infrastructure projects. Late last year, the first round of this fund went to support local community groups and the second round is currently on exhibition for community comment. Some of the proposed major infrastructure projects include improvements for the Braidwood and Bungendore main streets, restoration of Rusten House in Queanbeyan, an upgrade project on Lascelles St in Braidwood, construction of a dog park in Googong and many more. Head to yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au to have your say on these projects.
