Commemorating 10 years since the film's release, Reitman is set to orchestrate an all-female live read to raise funds for Planned Parenthood; a strong clapback against the current sentiment of the Trump administration.
Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner will be reprising their roles as pregnant teen Juno MacGuff and prospective adoptive mother Vanessa Loring, respectively. The male characters, including those played by Michael Cera and Jason Bateman, will be filled by female actors at the April 8 event in Los Angeles.
The event is a response to the Republican party cutting funds provided to the sexual health organisation, with Reitman saying it is a chance to inspire a new wave of protest.
"Like many other people, I felt like I wanted to do something. I wanted to find a way to contribute to the causes that have never felt more important," he told EW.
"It occurred to me that I have this show that could be used as a tool to not only raise money for causes that need the help, but could serve as an opportunity for a group like Planned Parenthood to connect with an audience who can be presented with new ideas, or even an action item."
But at the heart of the event is a re-affirmation of the most important statement from the movie; the power of "choice," he said.
"If there was any confusion about whether Juno was pro-choice or pro-life, this should settle that. Juno had a choice, and that was the most important part."

And it was Reitman's idea to also include an all-female cast for the event because it was a good opportunity to allow women's voices to be heard without interruption.
"Considering how much this election has done against women and what Planned Parenthood has done for women I thought it would be cool to hear this script with an all-female voice."
After stopping his live-reading events last year after five seasons, Reitman said the presidential election inspired him to revive the series in protest. This is the first of many shows coming up in a new resistance-inspired line-up, which will protest against Trump's administration when it comes to immigration and the fake news epidemic.
Keep a keen eye on Reitman's Twitter over the coming days where he will reveal which strong females will bring to life the male roles.
