Palerang Purples were off to Yass this weekend to play the home team, and the weather was outstanding for us over there. We were armed ready for this one. As we lost our very first game of the season to Yass on home turf, we were eager to step it up a notch and that we did.

The first few minutes showed that neither team was going to get any runs on the board. Yass was dominating our half most of the time, and putting extreme pressure on us. A few quick ones from us, however, made it 2-0 at half time and gave us the confidence we needed to carry through.
This particular game was the best I have seen our guys play. They were a really talented bunch to watch, constantly passing and placing the ball in just the right spots for team mates to connect and play through. It was outstanding to watch and really did look like professional play.
Nathan Hindmarsh had a tremendous game saving many goals and stretching himself to the limit. Our back line was extremely strong with Nelson pushing the ball forward at just the right time. Laynee and Bonnie annoyed Yass forwards constantly and most of the time gaining possession or side line kick outs. It was terrific to watch Hunter, Fergus, Reggie and Josh’s defence skills. Hughie as usual pained the Yass front line.
Our forwards clicked extremely well together, with some really professional play. Leroy and Isabella placed some great passes to Brodie and Angus, who were always ready to collect and drive up the wing for that quick pass in for points.
A great win for us today guys 3-1 and also an enjoying game to watch. Well done, very proud of you all.
Goal Scorers Leroy 1, Isabella 2.
