In conjunction with the NSW Heritage Office, a Local Heritage Places Fund has been established which provides grants on a dollar for dollar basis.
Funding is available for work on heritage properties and properties within the heritage conservation area in our Local Government Area. The aim of the project is to encourage and support as much positive work on heritage items as possible.
Priority is given to projects that require urgent maintenance works, form part of the heritage precinct, require upgrades for Building Code Australia compliance, or have not received previous council funding in the last 5 years.
This fund is targeted towards projects that are minor works and have sustainable long term heritage benefits, public benefit and enjoyment, and have a positive contribution to the heritage character of the site or the streetscape.
Applications for grants for the 2017-2018 financial year are now open. The size of individual grants will often depend on the number of applications received and supported. All projects are required to be completed by 15 April 2018.
Further information and application details here.
Applications for the grants close on 13 October 2017. For further information contact Martin Brown on 6285 6276.
