The first-time candidate has lived in Queanbeyan since emigrating from Macedonia with his family in 1994.
“I've seen how much Queanbeyan has progressed under the leadership of Tim Overall and I genuinely believe this needs to continue and be expanded to the Palerang region,” he said.
“I also appreciate how consultative Tim is … he listens and is willing to work collaboratively, and that's what we need to get things done.”
Mr Cvetkoski didn’t list off any issues he wanted to pursue if elected, but was confident his team had a good plan.
"Our team has a broad platform that looks to the issues and needs of the entire Queanbeyan-Palerang region,” he said.
“We have identified the priorities for each of our communities and these have formed the basis of an achievable, properly formulated plan of delivery.”
The ICT director at the Department of Employment has strong ties in the region.
Two members of his family work at the Queanbeyan Hospital, his mother as a registered nurse and brother as a medical scientist in the pathology department.
He is an avid football fan and has been involved with Queanbeyan City Football Club since arriving in Australia and continues to play.
Off the field he has been part of the club’s committee at various stages and spent four years coaching the women’s side.
“We need representatives who will deliver for all of our region, not simply narrow or single-issue candidates,” he said.
“Background, experience and a track record is what I encourage voters to look for on September 9 and I know that Tim Overall and our Group A team are able to provide this.”
