Damaging winds averaging 55-65 kilometres per hour, with possible gusts in excess of 90 kilometres per hour.
Braidwood, Araluen, Nerriga, Captains Flat, Goulburn, Katoomba, Bowral, Tidbinbilla, Bredbo, Adaminaby and Nimmitabel all may be affected by the winds.
State Emergency Services advise that residents of this area should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees
- Secure loose items around their house or balcony
- Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences
- Report all fallen power lines to Ausgrid on 131 388, or Endeavour Energy on 131 003 or Essential Energy on 132 080
