The kids enjoyed the sessions in delightful conditions on of October 3 and 4. The children were put through simple drills designed to familiarise them with the subtle skills of what is known in golfing parlance as the “shortgame” - i.e. putting and chipping. Further drills aimed to develop the ability to hit longer shots from the tees and the fairways.
The morning sessions were concluded by play on the course in small groups, supervised by willing and experienced volunteers. Here they were able to put into practice some of the skills learned in earlier sessions.
