A man will face court following the serious assault of another man near Braidwood.

About 10.50am yesterday (Saturday 9 February 2013), police were called to Nerriga Road, Braidwood, after reports of a man being injured.
Officers attended and found a 42-year-old man lying on the ground next to a vehicle with serious injuries to his head, legs and chest.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Canberra Hospital where he is now in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene which was examined by specialist officers.
Initial inquiries revealed the man was allegedly assaulted at a home in Durran Durra, before being found by officers in Braidwood.
Investigators established a second crime scene at a Durran Durra address which was also forensically examined.
About 12.15pm (Saturday 9 February 2013) a 41-year-old Durran Durra man was arrested at a licensed premises in Braidwood.
He was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station and charged with cause grievous bodily harm to another person with intent.
He was refused bail to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court today (Sunday 10 February 2013).
