Such was the case on the past two Saturdays. The arch monthly medal was won by Keith Ferguson with a net 69. Mark Newman was the runner up with 73 and the balls went to Terry Hughes, Mike Fitzgerald, Steve Cansell and Murray Smith with 76. Clearly not an easy day. There was no NTP.
The Keith Ferguson trophy last Saturday was again played under threatening skies and the odd shower. Romney Smith recorded one of the best rounds in recent times. Fifty one stableford points is rare and shows how sometimes the handicap system lags behind ability, especially if you are young and improving. Rod Coady with a very good round was runner up 10 points behind Romney and the balls went to Keith North, Brendon Booker, Les Hart and Mark Newman. Brendan was also NTP.
Well done Romney!
Fran McGrath is back! She won the Wednesday competition on February 26th, the second round of the WGNSW on March 1st, and was runner up to Debbie Ferguson last Saturday. Sister Barb was the runner up on March 1st and won the putts.
Pennants update: The ladies are struggling a little and may have been relieved to have a bye last Sunday. The previous week they were, according to Captain Clarke, smacked five nil, by divisional leaders, Capital. Good luck this week.
The men’s senior pennants team continues on its winning way with two dominant efforts against Capital and Belconnen away. This week they play Yowani at home.

This week’s Les and Greg Hart 2BBB for men and the first round of the Isabella Mutton trophy for women will start at 9.30. The hart trophy is also the final qualifier for the doubles knockout.
The early start is to accommodate the reverse golf event beginning at 2pm.
Lost: one set of junior left handed golf clubs. Last seen on the back of a Subaru ute as it navigated the Nerriga turnoff. If found please return to Dee-licious café. Nelson Sargent will be very pleased if they are found as he was so looking forward to the reverse golf!
