The Annual Braidwood Weaner Sale held Friday the 29th April was considerably dearer than the week before. Very strong buying support from all regions pushed the market up for the 1800 Top quality cattle yarded.

The steers started the sale off with top prices of $1195 achieved and with most heavier steers (300kg +) ranging from $3.00 - $3.20/kg or $900 to $1195.
Lighter weight steers were the biggest lift with all light weights under 300kg making $3.15 up to $3.40/kg ranging from $600 - $900.
PR & ME Byrnes topped the steer sale with $1195 Through Schute Bell.
Long Flat Investments had a great average for their 44 yard weaned Angus steers averaging $936 or $3.24 through Ray White Livestock
F & D Walsh had 56 yard weaned Angus steers that averaged $860 or $3.36 sold through J Hindmarsh & Co.
The Heifers opened up with just as solid response with heifers topping at $925 and made from $2.70 through to $3.00 a kg. With some of the lighter weights exceeding $3.00. Heifer competition came from Butchers Feedloters and backgrounders.
R G Morgan had a very solid heifer sale at $850 for 7 heifers through Schute Bell.
B Daniher sold 18 Angus Heifers for $800 though Ray White Livestock.
J Tokich sold 12 angus heifers for $775 or $2.92 through J Hindmash & Co.
The cattle were sold to many parts of New South Wales with very strong local support, Victoria & South Australia. Strong support from Regular and new buyers highlighted the Top Quality Yarding of Locally Bred Cattle
