Club Championships start next week, May 21st normal tee times, upfront payment for the four rounds is required to play the Championships ($80) and a daily stroke competition will take place, as well, on each of the four days.
Many, many thanks to the following workers who, last week, over two days (yes some were actually at the Club BOTH days!), cut trees, finished bunkers and cleared the first tee: Steve Cansell, Rick Towers, Judy & Gordon Scott, Keith Ferguson, David Jones, Phil & Lyn O'Toole, Dick Groot Obbink, Terry Hughes, Don Burke, Robyn Sim and Donna Kuhn. Working Bee again this Thursday 10.30am
The final round of the Brindabella Shield was played today at Braidwood. Unfortunately, the ladies lost to Belconnen with our only win by Robyn Sim and a fight back half by Captain Jackie Clark. At the after-match speeches everyone was very complimentary of the course so credit to all our tireless volunteers! Many thanks to Judy & Gordon for a great sausage sizzle today and also to Jackie Clark for her leadership and encouragement throughout the season; we've all had a great time. Good Luck to Belconnen and Yowani in the final next week at Goulburn, but with Braidwood and Belconnen now fielding a combined team in the Emily Hurt Pennants Friday competition throughout June, our hearts are leaning slightly more the Belconnen way!. This is a competition for ladies with GA's over 26 so only a few will be involved and we wish them well.
