On Thursday 28th July, 1st Braidwood Cubs and Scouts welcomed Local Landcare Coordinator Rebecca Klomp to the Scout Hall. Rebecca, from the Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council spoke to the Scouts about local projects that they can get involved in. These included the community garden, tree planting and erosion control projects.
Next Rebecca spoke to the Cubs about looking after the trees, the environment and what Landcare do in the community. Each Cub received a native tube stock to take home to plant, for National Tree Day on Sunday 31st July.

It was especially nice to have Rebecca join us, as she was once a Scout with 1st Braidwood. We all welcomed her back into the Scouting family, as Scouts is more than just tying knots. If you would like to join this family, feel free to contact our Group Leader, Laurie Joyce, on 4842 8144 for further information. Alternatively, you might like to attend our Group Support Committee, which meets on the last Wednesday of the month at the Scout Hall.
