Australian Taxation Office tells SMEs to pay superannuation online only

The Australian Taxation Office is reminding NSW small businesses still paying superannuation by cheque that they must start paying it electronically by October 28. ATO Deputy Commissioner Nicole Dykstra said the department wanted to ensure all SMEs were aware that ‘SuperStream’ compliance was now mandatory. “With just one quarterly payment date left until this deadline, I am encouraging local businesses to make preparations now,” Ms Dykstra said.
