The Braidwood Aikido Dojo has been training in the Anglican Hall, Wilson Street for the last 12 years.
The instructor, Mathew Hulse has been a student of martial arts for 25 years and has been teaching for almost 20 years.
Aikido is a martial art ans is not a sport, used for fighting or competition.
The Dojo is a place where students of “the way” come to train themselves.
New students are invited to participate in a beginners course from October 19 until the Christmas break.
This course teaches people how to train in the Aikido Dojo.
Students are firstly invited to watched two classes, so they have an understanding of how to train.
The class runs from 5.30 to 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening but students are asked to arrive earlier to prepare for the class.
