Jen, Alex and I would like to thank everyone who responded to the fire at our house on Sunday, September 25.
While the loss of our home has been devastating, we are very grateful for the efforts and support of the many Rural Fire Service volunteers and staff, Fire & Rescue NSW, police and ambulance, all of who worked so hard at the scene.
We are also thankful for the care, support and practical assistance that friends, neighbours, the local community and businesses have so willingly given to help us through the aftermath.
The fire investigators have told us that the cause of the fire was a fault in a power supply or charger.
While modern technology may have contributed to our loss, we still had a smoke alarm beeping three days after the fire!
