The Braidwood Times has received several comments recently that it no longer publishes letters to the editor. There have not been many letters published recently because very few have been received. The Braidwood Times welcomes all submissions and loves to hear the voice of individuals within the community. While we cannot absolutely guarantee publication in a specific week, we will make every effort to publish letters written to us as soon as possible.
If you wish to submit a letter for publication, it must be received by 9am Monday at the very latest. Letters to the editor should clearly state the issue at hand and the writer’s opinion. Letters should also be short, as we do not have the space to publish letters of more than 250 words. Any letter submitted may be edited slightly for space and appropriateness, but we will seek to maintain message and tone.
Please do send in letters to the editor as we would love to hear what matters to members of the Braidwood community. Letters can cover a range of subjects, from your opinion on pieces published in the Braidwood Times, to council matters and broader issues affecting the community, NSW or Australia.
The Braidwood Times also welcomes the submission of articles about anything happening in the local community. If you wish to submit an article, please inform us by the Friday beforehand. Like letters, articles must be received by 9am Monday.
