Kids at Braidwood Swim Club have been enjoying the warm afternoons of the past few weeks. About 45 children have been attending the club regularly since the season began.
They turn up each Monday afternoon to try to beat their lap times from the previous week. Simone Horn says her daughter could barely swim a lap at the beginning of the season, but a month later can swim a lap confidently.
One-lap swimmers swim between 4.30pm and 5pm, with multiple lap swimmers between 5pm and 6pm. Extra training is offered free on Tuesday afternoons, with Mark Klomp volunteering his time.
Ms Bradley says children are still welcome to join the club, with registration for the season $65, except for under sevens, who swim free. She added they are welcome to try the club out for two weeks without registering.
