I was impressed by the breadth of thought that had gone into the [Ryrie Park] concept plans and the feeling the consultants clearly had for our town. Whilst I personally won’t be using the skateboard park and play area, I reckon it sits well on the northern slope of the park. As Elspeth Kernbone said in her Editorial: it’s tough being young and youth need physical space to flourish; but that space also needs to be safe ie. overlooked.
