Braidwood Servicemens Club will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland on Sunday December 3.
The Club will be hosting its annual Kids Christmas Party, with food drinks, games, craft and event a magician. A special Christmas identity may also pay a visit, well armed with treats of course.
The event follows A Very Merry Christmas Party, run by QPRC on Friday December 1 at Ryrie Park.
From 6pm the park will fill with live entertainment, local food and fine and a number of free activities. Performances from Brewn and Braidwood Central School students are sure to be highlights of the night.
After all the Christmas spirit, Braidwood Dance Studio’s end of year concert may be a welcome change of pace. ‘Willie Wonka and the Dance Factory’ will be a spectacular show, with performances from Braidwood’s very talented dance students. Join in the fun at the National Theatre on Saturday December 9 at 6:30pm or Sunday December 10 at 2:30pm.
And for those who love to light up their homes, the RSL sub-branch will be holding its annual Christmas light competition. How to enter? Just light up your home. Judging will take place on December 22 and 23, between sunset and 10:30pm.
And as December 25 draws nearer still, local churches will begin to celebrate their Christmas services.
On December 17 St Andrew’s Anglican will host an ecumenical service, joined with Braidwood Uniting Church and St Bede’s. The service will feature lessons and carols with the Braidwood Cantors.
Come December 24 Braidwood Uniting Church will host a Christmas Eve Service at 10am, St Andrew’s Anglican will host family carols and a Christmas Pageant at 6pm and St Bede’s will hold a Christmas Mass at 6pm.
