The Redbacks fought hard, particularly in the first half, and went into the break down 13-0. They scored soon after the second half began, to reduce the deficit to six.
However, the Redbacks were unable to match the Rams’ high fitness levels, and soon faded to allow Yass three more quick tries before the final bell rang.
The Rams won, 32-7, but the Redbacks showed significant improvement across the board and fought particularly well in defense where they were able to hold off the Rams for much of the game.
