FAREWELL LETTER
By Mr Julian Laffan, assistant principal St Bede's Primary School.
The kindergarten class of 2012 began as a small group with big smiles and a lot of humour. Along with a few more students who joined along the way, they have been a great asset to our school.
With the guidance of Mr Pearman and Mrs Hannaford this year, each student has grown into an exemplary leadership team.
At St Bede’s we have the motto of ‘a School with Heart, where we Live, Love and Learn from the Heart of Jesus’ and all the teachers and children of St. Bede's send this message to them.
To Live. This Year 6 group sure know how to live. They are energetic, humorous and resilient. They know how to laugh and to enjoy whatever is going as they jump into everything with such enthusiasm. Even after an exhausting week at camp Mrs Tooth and Mr Laffan couldn’t believe they were still bouncing all the way back to school on the bus ride home.
To Love. As buddies to your Kinders you have been kind, generous and supportive. To your parents we see you show such fondness and care. To the world around you and to one another we have seen you grow into understanding one another’s differences and we know you get along so well as a group of friends.
To Learn. As individuals, each of you has shown incredible growth in your ability to take on new learning, to push through when things are tough and to strive to be the best that you can be. This has taken hard work over your many years of primary school. Keep learning always, and remember to smile as you face all the challenges of life.
In all of this you have had the support from your wonderful parents and teachers and we thank them for supporting you, and supporting our school. To every family in our community, thank you as we work in partnership to achieve the best for our children.
Year 6 have had fun at school celebrations, have worked hard to face challenges and learn to their potential and have grown as thoughtful individuals.
Our Year 6 students are set for an exciting future as they travel to Canberra, Goulburn and some to remain here in Braidwood for high school.
No matter where you head to, we wish every one of you well in your future.
