A child has been filmed on the windscreen of a moving car before a member of the public intervenes to confront the driver. Footage shows the child gripping onto the car as it drives over a speed bump down a residential street in Pakenham, south-east Melbourne, on November 26. The driver pulls over and the child climbs back in through the car's sunroof. A second video captures the person behind the camera criticising the female driver. "What if you run him over? Do you think that's smart? He falls off and he goes under those wheels - he's dead mate," the person tells the driver. "Would you like to kill him today?" The interaction was shared in a Pakenham community group on Facebook by a man who said he stopped the driver in the street about midday. "She did laps of our street with two kids hanging out the sunroof with no seat belts on. Then she drives back towards me with one of the kids sitting on the windscreen," he wrote. "What the hell is wrong with people!" The post said the videos had been shared with police. A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed a report had been received of an unrestrained child seen on the bonnet of a vehicle in Pakenham. "Investigations are ongoing and police will make further enquiries," the spokesperson said.
